Growl has been Watsoned
Notification center in 10.8 makes me sad for all the years of development that went into Growl. Growl was is probably the best and most widely used mod of the basic Mac OS X GUI. It will be a long time before Notification Center has the same level of 3rd party support, and it will never have growlnotify, one of my favorite scripting resources.
